The Yellow Dress Princess event was birthed from my childhood. I was raised in the North end of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and I grew up seeing very few of my peers having the opportunity to wear pretty dresses.
All girls want to feel important and pretty like other little girls. They want to be noticed, fussed over as they enter the room, and feel like a princess. Many girls may have never had the chance to do so, and we wanted to change that.
It is our goal to partner with merchants to support the organization annually in providing pretty dresses to the underserved communities, to help all girls feel special and empowered. The Yellow Dress Princess event turned our dream into a reality.
